Bio Sketch

Jaimie Murdock is a third-year undergraduate at Indiana University Bloomington. He is a member of the Hutton Honors College and is working on dual degrees through the Cognitive Science program and Computer Science department. Since Fall 2008, he has been president of the IU Student Organization for Cognitive Science (SOCS). He is currently co-chair of the Midwest Undergraduate Cognitive Science Conference (MUCSC).

Murdock is primarily interested in artificial intelligence, emergent behavior, logic, parallelization, philosophy of mind, and systems biology. Since October 2007, he has worked with Prof. Colin Allen on the Indiana Philosophy Ontology project (InPhO). In May 2008 and 2009, Murdock received several university grants to research parallel computing methods for ontology comparison. He is also working on the Power of Logic web tutor, providing Unicode support for the existing proof checking software.
